Bumble doesn’t offer support over the phone, so we’ll never call you directly. If you need assistance, you can contact us through the Help Hub in the app, our AI chatbot, or via email.
When Bumble will call you
The only time you may receive a call from us is for automated phone verification.
When you create an account, log in, or verify your phone number, you’ll be given the option to receive a phone call instead of an SMS code.
- This is an automated system call
- You don’t need to answer the call
- Instead, you’ll be asked to enter the last 6 digits of the number that called you to complete verification
This process helps confirm that your phone number is real and belongs to you.
For more information, check out our article on verifying your phone number.
When Bumble will not call you
Bumble will never unexpectedly contact you about things like:
- Account issues or bans
- Payments, refunds, or subscriptions
- Reporting another user
- Asking for passwords, verification codes, or personal details
- “Security checks” or “fraud investigations”
We also don’t offer customer support over the phone—all official support happens via email or our in-app Help Hub.
How to spot a scam call
You can spot a scam call if someone:
- Asks for codes, passwords, or personal information
- Pressures you to act quickly or threatens your account
- Requests payment or financial details
- Claims to “fix” your account over the phone
These are common scam tactics online and will never be a genuine Bumble call.
What to do if you receive a suspicious call
- Hang up immediately
- Do not share any information
- Contact us and report the incident to our support team
Stay safe on Bumble
We’ve built features to help you connect safely without sharing your phone number, including in-app voice and video calls. If someone asks to move conversations off-platform too quickly, take extra care.
