All active accounts on Bumble must be associated with a phone number. If you’d like to cancel your subscription, request a refund, or delete your account because of this, please follow the steps in the linked articles.
If you created your Bumble account with Facebook or Apple ID, we’ll ask you to confirm your phone number. This helps us make sure everyone on Bumble is real—this is a required step.
You may receive an SMS text message or get a call from us.
- If you get an SMS text message, enter the code.
- If you get a call, don’t worry, you don’t need to answer. Just enter the last six digits of the number that called you to finish verifying your phone.
If you don’t receive a call or SMS, try the following:
- Check your number: Make sure it's typed correctly and includes the correct country code
- Wait a few minutes: Sometimes there may be delays
- Tap ‘didn’t get the call’ or ‘didn’t get an SMS’ (whichever is shown to you)
- Restart your device or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data
- Still having trouble? Contact our support team
To update your phone number:
Before you can update your phone number, you'll need to set up a secondary login method. Once you've done this:
- Open Settings in the Bumble app
- Tap ‘Security and Privacy’
- Tap 'Ways you can log in'
- Choose ‘Phone Number’, then ‘Change number’
- Enter your new number and verify either by:
- Typing the last 6 digits of the number we call you from
- Or typing the number we send to you by SMS
