Our team are aware of the following issues and is actively working on a fix. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we want to assure you that resolving these bugs is a top priority:
- Not receiving email/push notifications despite having notification settings enabled
- App is slow or not loading when using Travel Mode
- Unable to open certain messages in the Chats tab
- Some members in the UAE may experience temporary location or access issues due to regional GPS disruptions
- Not receiving Phone verification code or call while trying to log in
While there isn’t a current workaround, you can try the troubleshooting steps listed below to see if they help in the meantime:
We know how important your connections are, and we want to make sure you can keep making meaningful ones without interruption. If you’re having trouble using Bumble, try these troubleshooting steps before reaching out for support:
💡 Tip: Keeping your app up to date helps prevent most bugs and ensures you always have access to the latest features and fixes.
Check your internet connection
A weak or unstable internet connection can cause issues with loading profiles, sending messages, or updating your account.
- Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or have a stable mobile data signal
- Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off
- If possible, test Bumble on another Wi-Fi network or data connection to rule out connection issues
Update or reinstall the app
Outdated app versions can lead to glitches or crashes.
- Visit your device’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
- Search for Bumble and check for an Update button
Force close and reopen the app
If Bumble isn’t responding, fully close it from your recent apps list, then reopen it
- On Android, you can also go to Settings → Apps → Bumble → Force stop, then reopen the app
Log out and back in
Sometimes simply signing out can refresh your session.
- Tap your profile icon → Settings → scroll down → Log out
- Close the app completely, then open it and log in again
Clear cache and app data (Android only)
Cached files (small bits of data your app or browser saves to help things load faster—like images, profile details, or pages you visit often) can sometimes cause bugs or slow loading.
- Go to Settings → Apps → Bumble → Storage → Clear Cache
- If issues persist, you can also tap Clear Data (this won’t delete your account)
Check your app permissions and storage space
Bumble needs certain permissions and storage to run properly.
- Make sure Bumble has permission to access your location, camera, photos, and notifications
- If your device’s storage is nearly full, try deleting unused apps or files—low storage can cause apps to slow down or crash
Turn off battery saver, VPNs, or ad blockers temporarily
Sometimes these settings can interfere with how Bumble connects to the internet or runs in the background. Try turning them off briefly to see if this resolves the issue.
Restart your device
Turn your phone off completely for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Restarting clears background processes that can sometimes cause apps to freeze or crash.
