Bumble isn’t just for dating! It’s also a great way to meet new friends through BFF Mode. Whether you’re looking to expand your circle or make meaningful connections in a new city, BFF Mode helps you do just that.
Your BFF profile is separate from your dating profile, so you can tailor your bio, photos, and interests to focus on friendship.
How to switch modes
If you're outside of the US
- Open the Bumble app
- Tap on your profile icon in the bottom left corner
- Select the ‘Settings’ gear icon at the top of your profile
- Tap ‘Type of connection’
- Select ‘BFF’ followed by ‘Continue with BFF’
- Once selected, you’ll only see profiles in that mode
You can switch back at any time by repeating the steps above and selecting ‘Date’. Please note that switching from Date Mode to BFF Mode will remove any existing matches you currently have.
If you’re based in the US
If you’re in the US, BFF Mode is no longer available on the Bumble app. You’ll need to download our new standalone BFF app to continue making new friendships.
