‘Review before you send’ is a feature on Bumble designed to help keep conversations respectful and comfortable for everyone. Instead of sending a message right away, Bumble may prompt you to review and edit it first if the content could be harmful or doesn’t meet our Community Guidelines.
How 'review before you send' works
When you type a message, Bumble uses a machine-learning model to check for language that could be harmful, offensive, or inappropriate.
If something is flagged, you’ll see a prompt letting you:
- Review your message
- Edit your wording
- Rethink whether you want to send it at all
If the message clearly violates our guidelines, you’ll need to edit it before it can be sent. In cases where Bumble isn’t fully sure, you’ll still have the option to continue—but you’ll be encouraged to reconsider first.
You can also provide feedback directly from the prompt if you think your message was flagged by mistake.
