What’s special category data?
Your personal data is any information that identifies you. Some types of personal data are more sensitive, which is why the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) classifies them as special category data. This includes details about your race or ethnicity, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic and biometric data (for identification), health, sex life, and sexual orientation. Helping you connect with other people
When you add information to your Bumble profile, other people can see and share it. That includes special category data you choose to share, like your ethnicity, religion, political views, and what you’re looking for. If you add any of this information, it’ll show on your profile and help you use Bumble. It’ll also help people find you from Discover, and see your profile if you match their preferences.
