Handles are currently only available to members in the USA using iOS.
Your handle gives someone a simple way to find your dating profile and show they’re interested without immediately exchanging a phone number or personal social account.
Here are a few ways to use your handle.
Share it when you meet someone
Meet someone you’re interested in, but not ready to share your phone number or personal social account?
Give them your Bumble handle instead. They can search your exact handle to find and ‘Like’ your profile, but they can’t message you unless you like them back and match.
Ask for theirs
Interested in someone? Ask for their handle and find them directly on Bumble.
“What’s your handle on Bumble?”
Search their exact handle, check out their profile, and Like them if you’re interested. If they’re interested too, you’ll match and can start chatting.
Let a friend make the introduction
Know two people who might hit it off?
With their permission, share a Bumble handle instead of passing along someone’s phone number or Instagram. They can check out the profile and decide for themselves whether they’re interested.
“You two might get along. Their Bumble is @handle.”
Share your handle online
If you’re comfortable making your Bumble profile more broadly discoverable, you can also share your handle online.
Keep in mind that your handle can be reshared beyond the audience you intended. Any verified member in your country who knows your exact handle may be able to use it to view your Bumble profile.
If you no longer want people to find you through your handle, you can turn off discoverability at any time.
